News How to Promote Your Business at Summer Events

May 30th, 2017

Each year, there are a huge number of events which are held during the summer. There are festivals, street fairs, marathons and outdoor concerts which all attract thousands of attendees. Not only are these fun events to partake in and enjoy but they are also a great opportunity for businesses to promote their company and meet some of their customers face-to-face. In some cases, there are certain events which are perfect for specific businesses to promote their company at – such as a restaurant sampling meals at a food festival. However, if you can’t think of a summer event which your business is a perfect fit for, there are still a number of other options when you want to promote your business at summer events.

Product Give-A-Way

A lot of event organisers will give you the option to enter the event as a sponsor who is doing a product give-a-away, which can be a great way to get more exposure for what your business offers. The best way to make this effective and memorable is to associate your product with the type of event. Therefore, if you have an outdoor event which is expected to be sunny – then using some promotional sunglasses with your logo on them can be a great way to get some exposure for your business.

Offer a Free Consultation

If you own a consultancy business such as an interior designer – then it can be a great idea to try and have a stall at an event which allows attendees to get a free consultation. This can be done by getting them to sign-up with some details and then if they visit your business, you can give them a free one-off consultancy session.

Feed the Crowd

During warm outdoor events in the summer, all guests will love to have some free cold drinks and light snacks. This can be great even if you’re not a food or drink business, as handing out some water in a paper cup with your logo on it is a great way to give your business a positive image.

Hold a Contest

If there is an event which will have a large footfall, it can be a great idea to try and get people to sign up for a competition. You can simply ask them to pop down their name and email address and then put them in a draw for a competition that is associated with your business e.g. a year’s free gym membership or free weekly meals. This then allows you to add these emails to your database and can be used for marketing purposes.
