News Why Choose Custom Wristbands for Event Staff & Volunteers

September 28th, 2016

One of the challenges that people face when holding particular events, fairs, or festivals is managing a large number of temporary staff and volunteers. It’s important to identify the official staff and volunteers, and to differentiate them from the delegates attending the event.

It may not be practical or economical to use permanent badges to identify staff who will only be employed for a short, temporary period. So one successful method of identification is via custom wristbands

Wristbands are very visible, radiantly coloured, and non-transferable so security can authenticate that only official staff and volunteer workers are allowed admission to controlled areas of the event.

Custom wristbands printed with the event logo and a special label of “volunteer” or “staff”, can help event planners and security control the staff and regulate access more successfully.

As well as using the wording on the custom wristbands, colour coding of the bands can be used as a secondary degree for identification. For example, a weekend event could issue volunteers for Saturday with green custom wristbands, whilst Sunday volunteers are identified with orange custom wristbands.

You can also use using colour coding to specify a secondary classification, for example the type of employee, access level, V.I.P, day of the week, etc.

Ordering custom wristbands is so quick and easy, and with The Wristband Company there are many different ways to customise the bands to promote branding, prevent counterfeits, and categorise groups of people. You can choose multiple colours, foil printing, serial numbering, and full-colour to different methods of identification.

Here are some our tips for ordering custom wristbands to identify your staff:

  • Decide what you will have printed on your custom wristbands. Consider including the event’s logo and dates.
  • Decide whether you want to include the text labels or simple colour coding to indicate an access level – or whether you want to use both.
  • Decide the amount of wristbands you require for your overall event, including all volunteers, staff, general admission, etc.
  • Decide what kind of wristband will suit your needs best Do you need it to be waterproof? Non-transferable? Reusable? How many colours will you need? Etc.

Once you’ve determined these basic things, give us a call! We’d love to help you find the ideal wristband solutions for your event.
